1. ลักษณะโครงสร้างของคำ และการสร้างคำในภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้ตำบลพิเทนเพื่อนำมาเปรียบเทียบกับภาษาไทยมาตรฐาน จะเห็นได้ว่า
2. การศึกษาเกี่ยวกับเรื่องคำและความหมายภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้ตำบลพิเทน ผู้วิจัยได้นำเอาคำและความหมายมาเปรียบเทียบกับภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้ทั่วไป ผลของการเปรียบเทียบแสดงให้เห็นว่า การใช้คำภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้แบ่งเป็น 2 ชนิด คือ คำศัพท์ที่ใช้ร่วมกันกับภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้ทั่วไป และคำศัพท์ที่ใช้ต่างกันกับภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้ทั่วไป
3. เปรียบเทียบคำและความหมายภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้ทั่วไป กับภาษาไทยมาตรฐานซึ่งพอจะสรุปลักษณะการใช้คำในภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้ตำบลพิเทนได้ดังนี้
The purpose of this thesis is to study the word and meanings of a Southern Thai Dialect of Tambon Phiten, which is situated in the Tung Yang Daeng Sub-District of Pattani province, in relation to standard Thai and the General Southern Dialect. The findings can be summed op as follows:
1. As findings as morphology and syntax are concerned:
1.1)There is a similarity in the structure of ond-and two-syllable worda between the Phithen Dialect and standard Thai.
1.2)The structures of reduplicated words, of synonymous compounds, and of compound word are also similar between the two.
1.3)The only difference lies in the word order, which is converse between the two.
1.4)Also, a number of the compound words used I the most Phithen Dialect are made up of loanwords from the Pattani-Malay Dialect and words of standard Thai.
2. The study of the words and meanings of a Phithen Dialect, as compared with the General Southern Thai Dialect, shows that word used in the phithen Dialect can be divided into 2 groups, namely, similar vocabulary and different vocabulary between the Phithen Dialect and the General Southern Dialect.
3. The comparison between the word and their meanings of the Phithen Dialect and of Standard Thai shoes 3 types of word:
3.1) Words shared between the two, bearing the same meanings;
3.2) Words shared between the two, bearing different meaning;
3.3) Different word between the two, but bearing the same meaning;
Furthermore, the use of several loanwords from the Pattani-Malay Dialect in the Phithen Dialect clearly indicates the morphological and phonological influence of the former on the latter.
