The research was intended to study the level of public mind of the PSU. Students that differed by different as social environments and study the factors affecting toward their public mind, also to study guideline in building for students? public mind. The sample study were 400 of one to forth year students in pattani campus. The instruments were three parts; personal information, questionnaire on public mind, and questionnaire on differentiate of social environments. Which 0.89, 0.94 the reliable value were
The results were found as in the followings:
1. The level of public mind of the students at PSU. Was in more level (high), when it was described as item, the highest means were they need to participate in the activities that benefit to society, they like to have a group work because it causes to make integrity, they like to share thing to help their friends or the poor people. They could contribute them with full of willingness.
2. The social environment factor effecting to public mind were self-learning and learning with the others at 26.40 percent, when coordinated with family support variable, it could predict at 30.20 percent. Both of these variable could predict at .01 level.
3. The guideline for building public mind, the university should improve the curriculum by focus adding the course of politics and focussing on the civil rights, should practise in puldic activities for benefit of mankind, should support both buddhist and muslim students participate in their activities, should focus on instructional actirities that relating to public mind and cooperative learning.
