A Study of Mental Health of Warrant Officer in Areas of Unrest in Three Southernmost Provinces of Thailand / การศึกษาสุขภาพจิตของข้าราชการตำรวจชั้นประทวนที่ทำงานในพื้นที่ไม่สงบ ในพื้นที่ 3 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้

บทคัดย่อ/Abstract

The aims of this research were
1) to study the mental health of policers in areas of unrest in the three southermmost provinces of Thailand, and
2) to investigate the associations of determinant factors of the warrant police officers in the three southernmost provinces of Thailand and the mental health of the police. The determinant factors included police station site, age, length of service, rank, salary, adequacy of salary, education, home province, religion, spoken language, marital status, duy and length of duty and the mental of the police.

the sampie comprised 404 police officers under the police stations in arcas of unrest in three southernmost province of Thailand. The questionnaire that was used to collect the data of General Health Questionnaire and Impact of Event Scale. Graphical and statistical methods used are factor analysis, Correlation Coefficients, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, factor analysis and multiple regression.

It was found that, the police officers who work at different police station have statistically different mental health. The police officers who work at Su-ngi-padee police station were found to have good mental health.
The police officers had with diferent adequacy of salary showed different mental health . The police officers who had not enough had good mental health. The police officers with different home provinces showed different mental health. The police officers in Narathiwat province had better mental health than others those having hometown at Nakon Srithamarat had most anxicty. In the additions officers who with different duty showed different mental health. The police officers who worked by traffic most mental health.

จุดประสงค์ของการวิจัยครั้งนี้เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสุขภาพจิตของข้าราชการตำรวจซึ่งปฏิบัติงานอยู่ในพื้นที่ที่ไม่สงบใน 3 จังหวัดชายแดนใต้ 2) เปรียบเทียบสุขภาพจิตของข้าราชการตำรวจ ซึ่งปฏิบัติงานอยู่ในพื้นที่ที่มาสงบในพื้นที่ 3 จังหวัดขายแดนภาคใต้ โดยจำแนกตามกลุ่มตัวแปรต้นได้แก่ อายุ อายุราชการ ชั้นยศ เงินเดือน ระดับการศึกษา ภูมิลำเนา ศาสนา สถานีตำรวจที่ปฏิบัติ
ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นข้อมูลที่ผู้ศึกษาได้ออกทำการเก็บรวบรวมจากสถานีตำรวจที่ในพื้นที่ไม่สงบสามจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ โดยใช้การศึกษาแบบการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจแบบตัดขวาง(Stratified Cross-section survey) ทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลระหว่างวันที่ 29 กันยายน2545-7ตุลาคม 2545 จำนวน12 สถานีตำรวจ และนำมาวิเคราะห์โดยใช้สถิติการวิเคราะห์ (Factor Analysis) และ Logistic regression
ผลจากการศึกษากาพบว่า ข้าราชการตำรวจที่ปฏิบัติงานในสถานีตำรวจแตกต่างกันมีผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพจิตแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) ซึ่งกลุ่มของข้าราชการตำรวจที่ปฏิบัติงานในสถานีตำรวจอำเภอสุไหงปาดีมีสุขภาพจิตดีที่สุด (p=0.013) เมื่อเทียบกับของข้าราชการในสถานีอื่น, รายได้ที่แตกต่างกันพบว่ามีผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพจิตของข้าราชการตำรวจที่แตกต่างกันโดยพบว่า ข้าราชการตำรวจที่ไม่ต้องการที่จะปฏิบัติในพื้นที่ที่ไม่สงบ, นอกจากนี้ข้าราชการตำรวจที่มีภูมิลำเนาแตกต่างกัน มีผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพจิตที่แตกต่างกันในด้านความกังวลใจต่อการปฏิบัติงาน โดยพบว่าข้าราชการตำรวจที่มีถูมิลำเนาอยู่ในสามจังหวัดนครริธรรมราชมีความกังวลใจมากที่สุด, สำหรับข้าราชการตำรวจที่ปฏิบัติงานในหน้าที่ที่แตกต่างกันพบว่ามีสุขภาพจิตที่แตกต่างกัน โดยพบว่า ข้าราชการตำรวจที่ปฏิบัติงานในหน้าที่จราจรมีผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพจิตมากที่สุดเมื่อเทียบกับกลุ่มที่ปฏิบัติงานในหน้าที่ที่อื่น
