บทคัดย่อ/Abstract | This research was intended to study the Career's Skill Development on Vocational Education in Five Southern Border Provinces for Serving IMT-GT Development, which related to the potential of the personnel, the various curriculums, all activities for skill development, the quality of graduates and the suitable qualifications in this southern region of Thailand. It was included to the collecting of problems and guidelines for improving the career?s skill for serving the economic-area development. The 220 samples were the students, the teachers, the administrators, the experts and the proprietors who concerned to the career?s skill development. The data collection was the survey from some document, the interview, the questionnaires and seminar from the experts. The data analyses were mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The results were found that the potential of personnel was mostly in bachelor degree. The curriculum was mostly in mechanics, electric, electronic, accountancy, marketing, foods, clothes, agriculture and fishery. These curriculums should be served in this region, For the activities; there were four main groups; academic activities, skill experience activities, skill competitive activation, and the activities for supporting student incomes. It was found that the overall and each activity were at moderate levels, however the academic activities was the lowest mean. For the quality of graduates, the proprietors and the employee agreed that the quality of graduates were at high level. For the satisfactory qualifications on the career skills, there should be the honesty, responsibility, discipline, human relationship, unaddictive person and destruction, creative thinking, self-confidence, learning interest, unity and patience. The problems were found that there were on the policy for economic development, personnel development, curriculum and instruction development, sources for training, and the problems on social, culture and politic. For the guideline in improving, there should be managed the academic activities as in supporting the innovation and technology, teaching the foreign languages for communication, these skills could be employed in this region as in rubber technology, fishery, business and marketing, and tourism. There were the suggestions for research implementation; the government policy should be emphasized on the regional economic development and support the budget to those vocational institutions. There should be cooperated among the institutions for academic exchange. The students should be improved themselves in vocational skill, managerial skill, technological skill, and communicative skill. |
